Magmarama Building, mining museum

Manuela Hardy

Architecture, Building and Structure Design Magmarama Building, mining museum by Manuela Hardy Manuela Hardys suggestion for a mining museum was inspired by sedimentology , which is the study of sedimentary rocks and sediment consolidation - the study of Earth's soils and their provision . Although the building area was mostly formed of metamorphic rocks , the ilmenite formed from sedimentary rocks. This has affected the studies with slices signifying deposition . Ilmenite are between provisions. The challenge was to bring light and reflections down into the area that is in particularly dark during winter. The result was a museum with many angles and glassurfaces.
